When using an electric attachment with grill,
follow specification statements accompanying the
accessory.

electrical source, the installed appliance must be
electrically grounded according to local codes or,
in the absence of local codes, with the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 or the Canadian
Electrical Code CSA C22,f,

Longerdetachablepower-supplycordsor

Yournew barbecuegrill is equippedwitha Type I
1 couplingnut [El. Do Notattemptto connectto I
any otherLP cylindernot equippedwith a matingI
Type1cylindervalve IF]. This grill is not to be I
usedwflh anyother cylinderconnectiondevice. I
LiquefiedPetroleumgas, (abbreviatedLPgas
or propane)is highlyflammable.It becomes
liquidwhen storedunderhigh pressureinside a
cylinderand vaporizeswhenreleased. LP gas is
heavierthan air andtends to collect in low areas.
It is importantthat thereare no leaking
connectionson your gas grill thatcould cause a
fire or explosion. (See K "Leak Testing"Fig's. 17
& 18)

CylinderSpecifications andPrecautions
, Any LPgas supplycylinderusedwith this grill
mustbe approximately12 inchesdiameter and
18 inches high. The maximumfuel capacityis
20 poundsof propane.
• The maximum weight of a properlyfilled
cylinderwillbe approximately 38 pounds(47.7
Ibs.nominalwatercapacity).
• The LPcylindermust havea shut-offvalve
terminatingin a Type 1 LP gas cylindervalve
outlet. (See item [F], Fig. 11).
• A Type 1compatiblecylinderwith a Type 1
cylindervalve has a back-checkvalve which
does not permitgasflow,until a positive seal
has beenobtained.
• The LPcylindermust havea UL listedoverfill
protectiondevice(O.P.D.).
