CAUTION
Usea LONG wooden m atch.

1. Strike andplace the burningmatchthrough the
lightinghole as shown. (Fig. 23)
2. Turnon right gas controlknob.
3. Extendthe flame until fl is abovethe end of
the lighter tube. This shouldcausethe burner
to light.
WARNING
• Grill must be levelbefore usingside
burner.
• Nevermovegrillwith a pot or pan on the
side burner.
• Makesure pot or pan is centeredon side
burner.(Fig. 25)
, Toavoid a possibilityof tippingthe grill
over, Neverplaceover 15 pounds on the
sideburner.A filled 6 quartaluminum pot
isapproximately15 pounds.

Igniter Lighting
1. Turnon the side burner g as control knob.
(Fig.24)
2. Pressthe igniterswitch severaltimes
(4 to 5) until t he flameignites.
3. If the flamedoesn't i mmediately light,turnoff
control knobandwaitfor fiveminutesfor gasto
dear.
4. Repeatsteps 1 through3.
5. If the burnerdoes not lightaftertryingagain,
turn off knobandtry matchlightingthe burner.
}'lINT:If the igniter f ailsto lightthe sidebumer,
adjustelectrodetip withneedle-nose pliers. A
sparkmustjumpneara gasopeninginthe
burnerwhen igniteris activated. Usecarenot to
damagethe ceramicinsulatoron electrode.

shouldcausethe burner tolight.

1. Turnall burnercontrol knob(s)to _.
2. After burnerflamegoesout, turn off fuel
supply. For an LP cylinder,turnthe LP
cylinderknob ina clockwisedirectionuntilit
stops.
