9. Remove the two screws that secure the power button board to the palm rest.

The power button board cable is affixed to the palm rest.
10. Carefully release the power button board cable from the palm rest.
CAUTION:
Be extremely careful when removing the power button board. The board is very fragile.
11. Lift the power button board away from the palm rest.
