Base Stations Selection: Automatic / Manual / Combined

If you are using multiple base stations, you can stipulate which base station your mobile unit
should use. The options are manual, automatic or combined search. The setting is carried out
from the mobile unit in idle state.
1. Automatic Selection of the Base Station (Status at Initialization)
The mobile unit establishes radio contact to a base station independently
when it enters the radio range of a base station
in the case of "competing" base stations (where several radio cells overlap), the base
station with optimum radio contact is selected by the mobile unit.
2. Manual Selection of One Particular Base Station:
The user stipulates which base station should be used;
this is recommended particularly in cases where radio cells overlap.
3. Combined Selection of the Base Station:
The mobile unit first searches for 30 seconds for the base station stipulated by the user.
If it cannot find it, then it searches for the base station which offers the optimum radio
connection.
The Comfort mobile unit is in idle state
