Placing a Call on Hold

An existing call can be placed on hold, for example in order to consult with someone in the room.
During this time, the person on the other end of an external call hears music.
Placing an Internal Call on Hold

You are engaged in an internal call.
ü
Push the internal key.
The station number of the internal sta-
tion and INT blink.
e
Push the signal key in order to retrieve
the call.
Placing an External Call on Hold
b
You are engaged in an external call.
ü
Push the internal key.
EXT blinks on the screen.

Push the signal key in order to retrieve
the call.
Note:
From within the hold status, you can carry out other switching functions; you can, for example,
.... Carry on a confidential consultation (see page 48),
.... Transfer the call on hold to the consultation partner (see page 48),
.... Toggle between the call on hold and the consultation call
(Toggle, see page 50),
.... Set up a 3-way conference (see page 51) (with the call on hold and the consultation
partner).
