Route

If GRT-101 is connected to more than one network, it may be necessary to set
up a static route between them. A static route is a pre-determined pathway that
network information must travel to reach a specific host or network.
With Dynamic Routing, you can enable GRT-101 to automatically adjust to
physical changes in the network's layout. The Cable/DSL Firewall Router,
using the RIP protocol, determines the network packets' route based on the
fewest number of hops between the source and the destination. The RIP
protocol regularly broadcasts routing information to other routers on the
network.
Click Route to modify the routing
information.
To modify the RIP (Routing
information protocol) Parameters:
RIP Mode: Enable
Auto RIP Summary: Enable
Press Modify
RIP Mode: this parameter determines how the product handle RIP (Routing
information protocol). RIP allows it to exchange routing information with other
router. If set to Disable, the gateway does not participate in any RIP exchange
with other router. If set Enable, GRT-101 broadcasts the routing table of
GRT-101 on the LAN and incoporates RIP broadcast by other routers into it's
