Status Display

The Status Display shows messages about the operating status of the P2 card
and Memory Card Video Recorder. Take action as appropriate for displayed error
messages.

CARD PROTECT The write-protect switch of the P2 card is set to "PROTECT".
VUP CARD
UNFORMATTED
ILLEGAL CARD • An unusable card is inserted.
NO CARD
READ ERROR
META ERROR
PLAY ERROR

There is no more space on the P2 card. Either replace it
with one having available space, or clear some space on the
existing card.
Move the switch to enable writing.
Writing is not possible on a P2 card intended for version
upgrade. Replace the card with one that is not intended for
version upgrade.
The P2 card is not formatted. Replace it with a formatted card.
Check the type of card.
• The inserted P2 card cannot be recognized.
Replace it with a compatible card.
• The P2 card is not inserted correctly.
Remove and re-insert the card correctly.
No P2 card is inserted. Insert a P2 card.
An error occurred while reading. File playback is not possible,
or the associated meta information cannot be displayed
correctly.
No associated meta information file exists. The information
cannot be displayed.
A decoder malfunction occurred. Playback is not available.
Reboot the Memory Card Video Recorder.
Measure
