Troubleshooting

Before requesting service, check the points listed below. If the problem persists,
contact your supplier.
Starting up
Symptom
Power does not come on.
Power gets turned off
automatically.
Operation
Symptom
The unit does not respond
or another problem has
occurred.
Recorder was restarted
without performing a reset.
• Make sure the control panel cable is connected
properly.
• If you have set the PowerOff Time (see page 32)
and are running the recorder with the ignition
switch at LOCK (OFF), turn the ignition switch
on (see page 13) and reboot the recorder.
• If the operating environment is hotter than the
recommended temperature, the Memory Card
Video Recorder may turn off for safety reasons. If
this happens, wait for the operating environment
to cool down before using the recorder.
• Hold down the front panel [REC] and [STOP]
buttons for about 10 seconds to reset the
Memory Card Video Recorder. All lamps go off
for one to two seconds after which they all light
for about one or two seconds to indicate that the
recorder is being reset.
• If a P2 card is removed during data access
(the [BUSY] lamp is lit), the P2 card slot may
become disabled. Wait awhile to allow the
Memory Card Video Recorder to reboot before
reinserting the P2 card.
• When auto maintenance is set to "ON", the
recorder reboots at the set interval.
