When going through Setup for the first time on a system running Windows NT Server, do the
following when asked if you want Setup to search for the network adapter:
1.
Click Select from List and then click Have Disk.
2.
In the text box, replace A: with \winnt\pro100plus, and then click OK. On a system with
Japanese Windows NT Server, replace A: with C: and then click OK.
3.
When prompted to select the OEM option, click Intel PRO Adapter and then click OK.
When going through Setup at all other times, complete Setup without auto-detecting the system's
network controller. When Setup completes, install the network controller driver software manually
from diskette.
The network controller driver software is in the

Setup and the SCSI Controller Driver
If you reinstall Windows NT, you must install the SCSI controller driver software from diskette.
You cannot install it from the system's driver CD.
System Hardware
Boot Hang
Your system may hang intermittently while booting, following the display of the "Z" logo with a
blinking cursor, or after scanning devices connected to the SCSI controller. If this happens, restart
the system and run BIOS Setup. Go to Advanced CMOS Setup and set Quick Boot to disable,
then save the change and exit from BIOS Setup. This procedure marks unused IDE ports as "not
installed," so you must repeat it if you add any IDE devices later.
Mylex RAID Controller
If your system has a Mylex RAID controller, you can press
configuration utilities. To ensure your system can do this, restart the system and run BIOS Setup.
In Advanced CMOS Setup, set 2nd Boot Device to SCSI, then save the change and exit from
BIOS Setup. For more information on Mylex RAID configuration, see the Mylex documentation
delivered with the RAID controller.
