SETTINGTHECONTROLSFOR
BROILING
Placethe oven rack in the proper rack posi-
tion (seefollowingchart).
1. Pressthe Broil pad.
>- Broil willflash in the display.
>- 000 and the ovenicon[---7 will lightin
the display.
The oven has a variable broil feature
whichmeans HI, LO or a specificbroil
temperature canbe selected. T oselect
a specific temperature, press the
appropriatenumberpads for the tem-
peraturedesiredafter 000 appearsin
thedisplay.
3. Therewill be a four seconddelay before
oventurns on.
Whentheoven turns on:
>- The BROILsymbolwill lightin the dis-
play.
>- The indicatorword BROILwill remain
in the display.

If morethan 30 secondselapse be-
tween pressing the BROIL pad and
numberpad,the oven is notset and
the displaywill returnto the previous
display.
II HI broil is used for most broiling.
Use LO or a lowerbroil temperature
when broiling longer cooking foods
or thin pieces of food. The lower
temperatureallows food to cook to
the well done stage without exces-
sive browning.

Never cover broiler pan insert with
aluminumfoil.This preventsfat from
draining to the pan below.
2. Pressthe Preset (0) pad to enter HI broil.
Pressagain to set LO broil.
4. Placefood in oven. Closeoven door and
cook according to the following Broiling
Chart.
5. Press CANCEL pad. Removefood and
broilerpanfrom theoven. Timeof daywill
reappearin the display.
