REFITTING THE FRONT WHEEL

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
CAUTION
Danger of personal injury! Do not insert the fin-
gers to align the holes.
Shift the wheel until the central spindle is aligned with
the slotted holes on the fork.
Tighten nut (1) until the play between the clamping
system and fork sheaths (2) is such that quick clamp
lever (3) can be closed with the proper tightening
torque.
Reattach cable guide tube (4) after manually closing
the brakes on brake arm (5).
Remove the bicycle stand.
While pulling the front brake lever, repeatedly press
down the handlebars so as to compress the fork.
This will allow the fork rods to settle properly.
CAUTION
After replacing the wheel, repeatedly actuate the
front brake lever and check the operation of the
brake system.
Check the alignment of the wheel.

REMOVING THE BRAKE LEVERS

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.
Turn the power switch to OFF.
Using a compressed air gun, remove handgrip (1).
Remove function switch (2) as described in the
paragraph REMOVING THE FUNCTION SWITCH.
Disengage the cable from brake lever (3) as described
in the paragraphs REMOVING THE FRONT/REAR
BRAKE CABLE.
Disengage switch connecting wire (4) from block (5).
Loosen screw (6) and pull brake lever (3) with block
(5) outwards.
To refit the levers follow the removing procedure in
reverse order.
