REMOVING THE CONTROLLER

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.
Remove the battery as described in the paragraph
REMOVING THE BATTERY.
Remove the side fairings as directed in the paragraph
REMOVING THE SIDE FAIRINGS.
Detach all controller connections.
Loosen and remove controller screw (1).

WARNING
Turn the power switch to the ON position in order
to discharge the capacitors in the circuit and
avoid small residual discharges.
Remove controller (2).

CHECKING THE CONTROLLER

Perform all the checks described in the TROUBLE-
SHOOTING table.
Check the other electrical components by following
the procedures described in the related paragraphs.
Check the condition of the controller wiring.
If necessary proceed to replace the controller.

REMOVING THE BUZZER

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.
Remove the controller as described in the paragraph
REMOVING THE CONTROLLER.
Remove buzzer (1) from the controller after detaching
the electrical connector.
When reinstalling the buzzer on the controller, apply a

small quantity of sealant to the outer ring.

CHECKING THE BUZZER

Earth the red 12 V direct-current wire and the black
wire.
Replace the buzzer if, in this condition, it gives out no
sound.
