should always be drawn back completely
before attempting to make a cut. When the
Cutting Head is in position above the leading
edge of the workpiece the saw can be switched
on and the Cutting Head lowered and pushed
forwards towards the fence to make a cut.
CUTTING BOWED MATERIAL
,A WARNING I
Before cutting any workpiece, check to see if it
is bowed. If it is bowed the workpiece must be
positioned and cut as shown. (Fig. BB)

DEPTH STOP (Fig. CC)
The depth stop allows slots to be cut inthe
workpiece.The downward travelof the Cutting
Head can be set so that the saw blade does
not completelycut through the workpiece.
The depth stop should be used in conjunction
withthe slidingcarriage.
NOTE: ttis advisable that the depth of cut set is
checked using a scrap piece of lumber to ensure
thatthe slotcut is correct.
By making a cut in the workpiece, and then
repeatingthe cut but with the workpiece slightly
repositionedto the left or right,it is possibleto
increasethe width of the slot cut.

Do not position the workpiece incorrectly or cut
the workpiece without the support of the fence.
FREEING JAMMED MATERIAL
Releasethe trigger switch and aJlowthe blade
to come to a complete stop.
Unplugthe machine
Remove the jammed material
Check the operation of the safety guards.
To usethe Depth Stop:
Deploy the depth stop plate (A).
Loosen the lock nut (B).
Adjustthe depth screw clockwise or
counterclockwiseto limitthe saw blades
downward travel (C).
Once set to the requireddepth, tighten the lock
nut against the retaining bracketto lockthe
depth stop screw in place.
When cutting is complete, returnthe depth
stop plate (A) to its original position.This will
