The site preparation team
The site preparation team plans, schedules, and completes all tasks necessary to prepare your site
for successful system installation.
The team consists of HP representatives and you, the customer.
HP representative responsibilities
The HP team includes various HP representatives who have the training, knowledge, experience,
tools, and parts required to install and maintain XP disk arrays.
This team is responsible for:

Helping you to determine and implement the site requirements for your specific site and array
configuration

Coordinating all HP resources to ensure successful delivery and installation of the disk array
The HP Service Representative is your primary point of contact with HP during site preparation. Other
HP representatives include the HP Customer Engineer who assists with disk array installation and
maintenance, and the HP Application Software Engineer who assists with disk array software installation
and configuration.
Customer responsibilities
As part of the site preparation team, your responsibilities include planning and preparing a suitable
environment for the disk array, and scheduling equipment delivery and installation. HP representatives
can help. Your internal team may include specialists in the site computer facilities, a storage
administrator, and a site electrician.
