Adding pairs with CESTPAIR and PPRCOPY ESTPAIR

Add pairs using the CESTPAIR and PPRCOPY ESTPAIR commands.
The commands are issued to the S-VOL.
The T-VOL must be offline.
Parameters and examples are provided in the following sections.

CESTPAIR

The following table describes the CESTPAIR command parameters used to create pairs.

To request the Add and Split operation, set
MSF00 instead of a serial number. This
parameter is valid for MODE(COPY) or
MODE(NOCOPY) only.
To create pairs in a consistency group, set
MAnn0 instead of a serial number. nn is a CTG
ID.

The storage system recognizes only COPY for the
MODE parameter, even if NOCOPY is specified.
Copy speed is medium, regardless what is specified
for the PACE parameter.
Not used by Business Copy Z.
MSGREQ function is applicable.
Note that you cannot use the MSGREQ function
when the Add and Split operation is required. If
you specify YES for this parameter when the Add
and Split operation is required, the command is
rejected and ends abnormally by reporting CC =
8.
MSGREQ function is not applicable.
Pair create operation is performed whether the
T-VOL is online or not.
Pair create operation is not performed if the T-VOL
is online.
