A Pair operations using PPRC
You can perform Business Copy Z pair operations using TSO PPRC and ICKDSF PPRCOPY
commands. This appendix provides PPRC requirements, commands, and examples.
It is assumed that you have PPRC command experience. All the instructions for using the PPRC TSO
and ICKDSF commands are not provided here. See the IBM user documentation for more
information.
Overview of PPRC commands supported by Business Copy Z
Except some operations, Business Copy Z pair operations can be performed using PPRC. With
PPRC, you can:
Add pairs.
Add and split pairs.
Split pairs, specifying steady split or quick split.
Resynchronize pairs, normal and reverse, quick resync/quick restore operations.
Delete pairs.
Display pair status and other information.

status to duplex.
Adds and simultaneously splits a pair.
Splits a pair, starts quick split operation.

Resynchronizes a pair, starts normal resync.
