Procedure 2 To reserve a consistency group
1.
Click Actions > Local Copy > Business Copy for Mainframe/Compatible FlashCopy > CTG to
open the CTG window.

Change to Modify mode by clicking the

Select and right-click one or more CTGs with status Free, then select Add CT Group.

Click Apply. The status changes to Reserved
You can remove the reserve attribute by selecting the Reserved group or groups, right-clicking,
and selecting Delete CT Group.

Set Host I/O Performance option

This option is meant to improve host I/O responses. When the option is used, the storage system
suppresses Business Copy Z copying operations, thus slowing them.
If Business Copy and Business Copy Z pairs exist, host I/O responses may not improve unless the
Host I/O Performance option is enabled for those pairs.
Procedure 3 To set the Host I/O Performance option

Click Actions > Local Copy > Business Copy for Mainframe/Compatible FlashCopy > Option
to open the Option window.
