Causes
Unsupported DIMMs,
mismatched DIMMs, or
unmatched DIMMs have
been detected. If more
than one DIMM is
present, DIMMs must be
installed in matching
pairs.
Remote Configuration
request has been detected
and is being processed.
Remote BIOS update
attempt failed.
NVRAM_CLR jumper is
installed. CMOS has been
cleared.
Faulty or improperly
installed memory
modules.
Faulty or improperly
inserted diskette,
incorrect configuration
settings in the System
Setup program, or loose
diskette/tape drive
interface cable, or loose
power cable. Replace the
diskette.
Faulty diskette, faulty or
improperly connected
diskette/tape drive
interface cable, or loose
power cable.
Corrective Actions
For memory configuration
information, see "Memory
Module Installation
Guidelines" on page 110. If
the problem persists, see
"Troubleshooting System
Memory" on page 146.
Wait until the process is
complete.
Retry the BIOS update. If
the problem persists, see
"Getting Help" on page 175.
Remove the NVRAM_CLR
jumper. See Figure 6-1 for
jumper location.
