Use this mode when taking pictures of food.
• The focus mode ([_Q38) setting will be changed to _ (macro
close up) and the camera automatically zooms to the
position at the closest distance at which the camera can
Bcus.

• The closest shooting distance will vary according to the magnification of the zoom. In the
zoom position where the _ icon and zoom indicator on the monitor glow green (wide-
angle side from the _ icon), the camera can focus on subjects as close as about 10 cm
(4 in.) from the lens. In the center zoom position between the maximum wide angle side
and the _ icon, the camera can Bcus on subjects as close as about I cm (0.4 in.) from the
lens.
• You can adjust hue within a slider display at the left of the @
monitor. Pressing • increases the red hue, and pressing • _ ]
increases the blue hue. The hue adjustments are stored in the L
camera's memory ever] after the camera is turned off
• AF area mode will be changed to Manual to enable the focus area to be chosen (_90).
Press the _]_ button and •, •, _ or i_ on the m ulti selector to move the focus area. When
the focus area position is set by pressing the _]_ button, the hue a@ustment, selfitimer and
exposure compensation settings can be adjusted.
• The camera focuses continuously until focus is locked by pressing the shutter release
button haffvvay.
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, be sure that Vibration reduction
(_160) is enabled and hold the camera steadily.

I_ Museum
Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for example,
in museums and art galleries) or in other settings in which you do
not want to use the flash.
• The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.
• BSS(Best Shot Selector) (_86) is used when shooting.
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, be sure that
Vibration reduction ([_Q160) is enabled and hold the
camera steadily.
• AF assist illuminator (_163) does not light.
