Back up recordings regularly
- This message may appear when you turn onthe camcorder. In the event of a malfunction,
recordings may be lost so back upyour recordings regularly.
Buffer overflow. Recording was stopped.
- The data transfer rate was too high for the memory card in use and the recording was
stopped. Replacethe memory card with one rated Speed Class 2, 4, 6 or 10.
I_]i]_/_]_]_} Built-in memory error
- The built-in memorycould not be read. Contacta CanonService Center.
_/_} Built-in memory is full
- The built-in memory is full ([l_i End] appearson the screen). Deletesome recordings
(E_] 53, 90) to free some space. Saveyour recordings ([_ 111) and initialize the built-in
memory (Eli 38).
_[_D/_ Cannot access the built-in memory
- There is a problemwith the built-in memory. Contacta CanonService Center.
Cannot convert
- Cannot accessthe memorycard. Check the memory card and make sure it is inserted cor-
rectly.
- Youinserted a MultiMedia Card (MMC)into the camcorder.Usea recommended memorycard
(1_3 35).
- There was an error creating the file name. Set I_/_ [Photo Numbering( to [Reset[ and ini-
tialize the memory card ([_._]38) or delete all the photos (_ 90) and all the scenes in the
[For Web (MPEG-2)]and [For DVD(SD-VIDEO)] i ndex screens ([_] 47).
_]_i]_/l_t_i]_ Cannot copy
- The total size of the scenesyou selected to copy exceedsthe available space onthe memory
card. Delete some recordings on the memory card (_ 53, 90) or reducethe number of
scenes to copy.
- The memory card alreadycontains the maximum number of scenes (3,999 scenes). Delete
some scenes (LT_J 53) to free some space.
Cannot divide the scene. Initialize only using the camcorder.
- The scene could not be divided becausethe camcorder'sinternal scene managementdata log
is full. Save your recordings (_[iJ 111) and initialize the memory(L_[] 38). Then, write the
video files back to the memory and dividethe scene again.
Cannot edit
- Could not movea scene in the playlist. Deletesome scenes from the playlist (_ 80).
Cannot enter standby mode now
- The camcorder cannot enter standby mode if the remaining battery charge is too low. Charge
or replace the battery pack ([_ 21).
