Drive Control
Referto the Adjustmentsectionof the Assemblyinstructionsto adjust
the drivecontrol.Tofurther checkthe adjustment,proceedas follows:
1.
With thesnow throwertippedforward (be certainto drain gasoline
or place plasticfilm underthe gascap if the snow throwerhas
alreadybeen operated),removetheframe coverunderneaththe
snowthrowerby removingthe self-tappingscrews.
2.
Locatethe openingbetweenthe axlesupportbracketand
the frontframe support(See Figure20). Lookingthroughthis
opening,with the drivecontrolreleased,theremustbe clearance
betweenthe frictionwheeland the driveplatein all positionsof
the shift lever.
3.
With thedrive controlengaged,thefrictionwheelmustcontact
the driveplate.See Figure20.
4.
If thereis no frictionwheelclearance,or the frictionwheeldoes
notsolidly contactthe driveplate, re-adjustthe lock nuton the
lowerend of the drivecablefollowingthe instructionsin the
Assemblysection.
5.
Reassemble the framecover.
NOTE:If youplacedplasticfilm underthe gascap earlier,removeit
now.
Chute
Bracket
If thespiral at the bottomof the chute directionalcontrolis not fully
engagingwith the chute assembly, t he chute bracketcan be adjusted.
To do so:
1.
Loosenthe two nuts which securethechute bracketand reposi-
tion it slightly.See Figure21.

Retightenthenuts.

Referto the Assemblysectionfor instructionson adjustingthe auger
controlcable.
Skid
Shoes
Referto the Assemblysectionfor instructionson adjustingthe skid
shoes.
