You can registeronly one DistinctiveRingingpattern with the FAX/MFC. Some
ringing patterns cannot be registered.
The FA_MFCwill answeronly calls to its registerednumber.
% haveyour TADansweronly the main numbei; the FA_'CJMFC
must be in
Manual Mode.
In F/TModeor FAX ONLY, the FA_MFC will answer all numbers on the
phone line.
Registering the DistinctiveRingingphone number
Disconnectthe FAX/MFC f rom any TAD or telephone companyvoicemail.
Have someone ready to call the Distinctive Ringing number
you're
assigning
to the
FAX/MFC.
press
Press{_ or [_ to selectthe SETMode.
Press{_.

The screendisplays:

Now, another
person
must call your fax number.
If you want to exit this programming,
press
_.
Settings
remain unchanged.
When the FA;CJMFC rings, listenfor the ring pattern, and make sure it's the
one you want for the FA;CJMFC.

Liftthe FAX/MFC h andset and press _.
The screendisplays
REGISTERED. ( If the incorrectdistinctiveringing number wascalled,press
to cancel.)
Hang up.
YourFAX/MFC m ust be in MANUAL modebeforesomeonecalls.
Once you've registered the Distinctive Ringing number in your I_X/MFC, you can
turn this feature ON (or OFF). To change the setting, follow steps 1 to 4 above,
selecting ON or OFF.
