Start point: Turn the TV set on and select the
video programme number.
Insert a cassette.
Note: When a cassette (with its safety tab snapped
off) is loaded, playback starts automatically.
Press the PLAY button on the remote control
unit or PLAY/STILL button on the VCR.
Press the VCR/TV button on the remote control.
The letter "VCR" will appear in the display. This is
necessary for viewing the picture through the scart
connection.
Note: If you press the PLAY
cassette inserted, " " will flash in the VCR
display to warn you.
During playback you can use the following
features.
Pause playback
Press the PAUSE button on the remote control
unit or PLAY/STILL button on the VCR to pause
the picture on the screen during playback.
Press the button again to reset to normal playback.
If the screen "jitters" vertically, this can be
improved by pressing the TRACKING
button.
Note: When the pause playback mode continues
for about 1 minute, the VCR switches to stop
mode automatically to prevent damage to the
tape.
Frame advance
Press PAUSE button to still the picture.
Press the F.ADV button to advance the picture to
the next frame.
Pressing and holding the F.ADV button advances
the frames continuously.
Press PLAY or PAUSE button to reset to normal
playback.
Slow function
Press the SLOW button on the remote control unit
during playback to view slow playback picture.
Press the PLAY button to reset to normal playback.
Note: When the slow playback mode continues
for about 1 minute, the VCR switches to stop
mode automatically to prevent damage to the
tape.
