Display
Problem
Nothing
appears

screen.

external monitor I have
plugged in and powered
on.
No image appears on the
notebook monitor (Model

The system is in a power saving mode. Toggle the sleep/resume key combination, Fn +
Esc (see
"Sleep Button" on page 3 -

The screen controls need to be adjusted. Toggle the screen control key combinations Fn +
F8/F9. If you're connected to an external monitor, make sure it's plugged in and turned on.
You should also check the monitor's own brightness and contrast controls.
The computer is set for a different display. Toggle the screen display key combination, Fn
+ F7. If an external monitor is connected, turn it on.
The screen saver is activated. Press any key or touch the TouchPad.
You haven't installed the video driver and configured it appropriately from the Control
Panel. See
"ATI Video Driver Controls" on page B - 1
on page C - 1
for instructions on installing and configuring the video driver.
You have clicked the Television icon in the Devices tab of the Intel Graphics Properties
when no TV is connected. If you select the Television as the single display device when no
TV is connected to the S-Video-Out Port, the screen may appear blank. If this happens
use the Fn + F7 key combination to toggle through the display options until the display
reappears on the notebook screen (see
