Natural Gas Installation

You do not need to hire a contractor to install your natural gas service,
but you need to make sure you have all required permits and ensure
the installation complies with State and local code. We recommend
you hire a certified contractor if you do not wish to do the installation
yourself.
If your dealer is not a certified contractor, you will need to hire a
contractor for installation of your gas service.
The natural gas pipe from your house to the location of your barbecue
island needs to be ¾" and terminate with a shut-off valve with a
½" male fitting. Check with a contractor or your local inspector for
requirements.
