Power Supplies
The power supplies (see Figure 1-10) are located behind the drive fan
pack. The supplies are identical, but inverted when installed as
shown in Figure 1-10. You can add or remove one power supply in an
IP4700 while the IP4700 is powered up.

Each power supply is an auto-ranging, power-factor-corrected,
multi-output, off-line converter with its own line cord and on/off
switch. The supplies share load currents unless one fails; each supply
can support a fully configured IP4700 if the other fails.
The disk drive and link control card voltage lines have individual
soft-start switches that protect them if you install them while the
IP4700 is powered up. A CRU with power-related faults will not
adversely affect the operation of any other CRU.
Each power supply has status LEDs. These LEDs are partially visible
through the drive fan pack, and fully visible with the drive fan pack
