Memory Support

The X8DTL-iF supports up to 48 GB of registered ECC DDR3-1333/1066/800 MHz
SDRAM or up to 24 GB of unbuffered ECC DDR3-1333/1066/800 MHz SDRAM
in 6 DIMM slots. See the product page on the Supermicro Web site for updates to
supported memory.

Populating DIMMs

Follow the tables below when installing memory.

Notes: Due to OS limitations, some operating systems may not show more than
4 GB of memory.
Due to memory allocation to system devices, the amount of memory that remains
available for operational use will be reduced when 4 GB of RAM is used. The
reduction in memory availability is disproportional. (See the following table.)
