Copies
You can select the amount of copies from 1 to
999.
Paper Size
You can select the paper size currently loaded in
the tray.
Paper Type
You can select the paper type currently loaded
in the tray.
Paper Source
Using this menu, you can set which tray you
want to use.
•
If you select Auto, the machine can
automatically determine the source.
•
Select MP Tray or Manual Tray to use the
multi-purpose tray. If you select Manual
Tray, you need to press
print a page and select Manual Feeder for
Source from your software application.
•
Tray 2 is available only when an optional tray
2 is installed.
Tray Chaining
When you select any other value except Auto
from Paper Source and the selected tray is
empty, you can set the machine to automatically
print from other trays.
If this menu item is set to Off, the machine does
not work until you insert paper into the specified
tray.

Resolution
Specify the number of dots printed per inch (dpi).
The higher the setting, the sharper printed
characters and graphics.
Darkness
You can lighten or darken the print on the page
by changing the toner density setting. The
Normal setting usually produces the best result.
Use the Light toner density setting to save
toner.
Image Enhance
This menu allows you to enhance the print
quality.
•
Normal : Doesn't enhance the quality.
•
Text Enhance : Enhances letters and
simple figures.

Language
This menu determines the language of the text
that appears on the control panel display and
information printing.
Power Save
When the machine does not receive data for an
extended period of time, power consumption is
automatically lowered. You can set how long the
machine waits before going to power save
mode.
Auto Continue
This menu determines whether or not the
machine continues printing when it detects the
paper unmatched to your paper setting.
•
Off : If a paper mismatch occurs, the
message will remain on the display and the
machine will remain off-line until you insert
the correct paper.
•
On : If the paper mismatch occurs, an error
message will display. The machine will go
offline for 30 seconds, then automatically
clear the message and continue printing.
Altitude Adj.
You can optimize print quality according to your
altitude.
Auto CR
This menu allows you to append the required
carriage return to each line feed, which is useful
to the Unix user or DOS user.
Job Timeout
You can set the length of time the printer waits
before printing the last page of a print job that
does not end with a command to print the page.
Maintenance
This menu allows you to maintain your machine.
•
Clean Drum : Cleans the OPC drum of the
cartridge and produces a sheet with toner
debris on it.
•
Supplies Life : This item allows you to
check how many pages are printed and how
much toner are left in the cartridge.
•
TonerLow Alert : If toner in the cartridge
has run out, a message informing user to
change the toner cartridge appears. You can
set the option for this message to appear or
not.
•
Paper Stacking : If you use a machine in a
humid area, or you are using the damp print
media caused by a high humidity, the
print-outs on the output tray may be curled
and may not be stacked properly. In this
case, you can set the machine to use this
function to let print-outs stacked firmly. But,
using this function will make the print speed
slow.
Clear Setting
This menu allows you to restore the machine's
factory default settings.
