3. Pull the opening lever on the front cover, and then carefully lower the front cover.
4. Lower the fusing unit levers with thumb fingers.
5. Close the front cover with both hands carefully.
• This step is not necessary if the printer's power switch is on but the printer has been inactive for a
long time.
