System Requirements

To use the HP LaserJet Companion and the PaperPort™ software for
HP, you need the following:
IBM PC (or 100% compatible) 486 or better with a bi-directional or
ECP-compliant parallel port
Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11, or Windows 95
8 megabytes (MB) or more of internal memory (RAM)
8 MB of free hard disk space
VGA or better monitor
HP LaserJet 4-, 5-, or 6- series printer
Optional: fax modem and fax software, if you want to send a fax from
the PaperPort software
The PaperPort software does not support either Windows NT, OS/2, or
