Video Mode

When selecting the Video mode, refer to these guidelines.

Editing A DVD Recording

Traditionally, editing a VCR/VHS videotape requires two tape decks, one
deck to play back the original tape and a second unit to record the changes.
DVD recording allows you to make a Playlist of what to play and when to play
it, leaving the original material intact (Fig 1-5). The PRV-9000 recorder plays
back the disc according to your Playlist selections.

Throughout this manual, the word, Original, refers to the actual content while
the word, Playlist, refers to the edited version.
1.4.4

On-Screen Icons

While using the PRV-9000 recorder, a <disc> icon or a <player> icon may
appear on-screen. The <disc> icon means that the disc blocks the requested
function and the <player> icon means the recorder blocks the function.
