Approximately two minutes before a timer program begins, the recorder's power
automatically switches ON. Pressing Standby/ON at this point stops the
recording session.
The instructions below apply to both Standard and Disc timer recording; however,
the example screen-shots are taken from a Standard timer recording session.
1. Load a recordable disc in to the recorder.
If loading an unformatted DVD-RW disc, it is automatically formatted as a
VR disc. This process requires approximately 40 seconds.
2. Press SETUP to display the Setup menu.
If disc timer recording is active, the first menu item is Disc Timer Rec.

3. Confirm Timer Rec is highlighted on the menu or highlight Disc Timer Rec if
the disc timer option is active.
4. Press ENTER to call the menu.
Timer Recording program appears on screen with 8 available entry lines.

5. Begin entering information for the timer recording(s).
Move the joystick left/right to move the cursor left/right.
Move the joystick up/down to scroll through options within that line.
Press ENTER to retain the program line information.
Press CLEAR to erase the current entry.
6. Select a date up to one month in advance or choose a daily/weekly option.
7. Set the Recording Start time.
8. Set the Recording Stop time.
