General Maintenance Issues

Usually it is best to have the unit serviced by an authorized Pioneer Service
Center; however, some in-house maintenance is possible. The following sections
provide directions for minor in-house maintenance.

11.6.1 Cleaning Pickup Lens

The recorder's lens should remain clean during normal use. However, if the dust
or dirt adhere to the lens, use an untreated, soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the
visible side of the lens.
Although lens cleaners designed for CD players are commercially available,
Pioneer does NOT recommend for cleaning this device.
