Editing VR mode Original and Video
mode content
These commands affect the actual content stored on the
DVD-R/RW.
Remember
• If you are editing a VR mode disc, use the PLAYLIST
button to switch to the Disc Navigator Original
screen.
Play

Use this function to start playback of a title.

Select 'Play' from the Disc Navigator menu
options.

Use the
title you want to play, then press ENTER or

Playback of the title you selected starts.
Tip
• You can also use the front panel controls for the Play
function: Press DISC NAVIGATOR, then use the + / –
buttons to select a title. Press
playback.

VR mode
Video mode
The Erase title command does slightly different things
depending on what you are currently editing. If you are
editing Original content on a VR mode disc the title will
be erased from the disc and the available recording time
will increase accordingly.
If you erase titles from a Video mode DVD-R disc, the title
will disappear from the list of titles, but the available
recording time will not increase. Erasing a title from a
Video mode DVD-RW disc increases the available
recording time only if it is the last title on the disc.

Highlight 'Yes' to confirm, or 'No' to cancel, then
press ENTER.

Press RETURN to go back to the Disc Navigator
menu options, or select another title to erase.
PLAY.
Tip
• You can erase a title quickly by pressing CLEAR when
the title is highlighted. Confirm the edit by pressing
ENTER. (You can also use this method to erase titles
when using the Play function, above.)

You can give titles new names of up to 64 characters long
for VR mode recordings and 32 characters for Video
mode recordings.

options.
