[MODE RESET] Resetting Function Settings

[MODE LOCK] Preserving Your Function Settings

[MODE LOCK] is a function which ensures that the settings you have
specified in the "C", "N", "S", "I" or "M" mode are retained when
the camera is switched off. See p.167 for details of the functions to which
mode lock can be applied.

Set the mode select dial to "G" and
turn the camera on.

Press the up u or down d button to
select [MODE LOCK] and then press the
right button r.

Press the up u or down d button to
select [ON] and then press the OK button
E.
The selected setting is applied and the Set Up menu screen reappears.
To have Settings revert to their default values when the camera is
turned off, select [OFF].

This setting is retained when you turn the camera off.
