Ethernet Ports

The Model SW510 switch is equipped with eight 10 Mbps Ethernet ports and two 10/100 Mbps
Fast Ethernet ports. On the Model SW518 switch, there are sixteen 10 Mbps ports and two 10/100
Mbps ports. A server or PC can be connected to any of the ports.
The 10/100 Mbps ports are Ports 9 and 10 on the Model SW510 switch and Ports 17 and 18 on the
Model SW518 switch. The network access speed for the two 10/100 Mbps ports on both systems is
automatically sensed and displayed on the front panel by the 100 Mbps LEDs.
The 10 Mbps and 10/100 Mbps ports support only one cable connection, which is for unshielded
twisted pair (UTP) cable. An 8-pin RJ-45 plug is used for connection to this port.
