Appendix 8: Using the Storage Calculator

The Storage Calculator application is used to calculate the amount of recording time available on
your Hard Drive, based on the System Recording Settings. This application is located on the
Software Installation CD (provided
with your System)
1. Select the settings to reflect the
options you have chosen on your
System:
CH1~CH4 - Select the channels to
include in the Recording
Calculation
Resolution - Set the recording
Resolution to CIF (352x240), 2CIF
(704x240) or D1 (704x480)
Quality - Set the recording Quality
to Low, Standard, High or Highest.
FPS - Set the Frames Per Second
for the recording to 1, 2, 4, 8, 15 or
30 FPS.
HDD Size - Select the size of the
System Hard Drive.
2. Click CALCULATE. The
Software will use all configurations
to provide recording data specific
to your System.
Appendix 8: Using the Storage Calculator
Main Screen - The Software loads with the following defaul
selected. Use the dropdown selections to change the
options to reflect your System settings.
