5. Click Commit. The voice gateway immediately restarts. If the line is not already assigned
to a pool, a new pool named "for FXS Line" will be created on the Line Assignments
page.

Changing the Phone Assigned to a User

Use the Device Assignments page to assign a specific phone to a specific user. For example,
you can assign the phone with the IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.89 to "John Johnson." Here's
how:
1. Click Device Assignments in the Action Index window or on the Phone tab.
2. In the Device Assignments window, find the phone to which you want to assign the user.
If the phone is already assigned to a user, you'll need to unassign that user as follows:
a. In Edit mode, point to the plus sign
the phone you want to reassign.
b. Click Unattach. The User and Intercom tab moves to the right side of the window.
This phone is now available to be assigned to another user.
3. To assign a user to this phone:
a. Locate the User and Intercom tab at the right side of the page for the user you want
to assign to the phone.
b. Click once on the handle for the User and Intercom tab
available phone.
c. Move the User and Intercom tab over the target drop zone for the device, indicated
by the target
icon, and click again to attach the user and intercom to the phone.
4. Click Commit. The phone will immediately restart.
