Installing a VGA2200 Voice Gateway
1. Unpack the VGA2200 Voice Gateway and verify that the box contains the following
components:
• VGA2200 Voice Gateway
• 6-foot Category 5e RJ-45 Ethernet cable
• (2) 12-foot 4-wire phone cables (RJ-11)
• Quick Installation Guide
2. Place the VGA2200 on a desktop in the stand.
3. Connect the VGA2200 to the Services Router:
a. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the VGA2200.
b. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a LAN port on the Services Router.
4. Connect an analog phone and fax machine to the VGA2200:
a. Connect one end of a phone cable to a PHONE port on the VGA2200.
b. Connect the other end of a phone cable to an analog phone or fax machine.

NOTE: If you connect a fax machine to
the VGA2200, you'll need to dedicate
one of the phone lines for sending and
receiving faxes. See "Assigning a Phone
Line to an FXS Port" in Chapter 5.
