Administering Voice Mailboxes
Each phone in the system is automatically assigned a personal voice mailbox. You can
disable voice mail for a particular phone in the Phone > Voicemail window. For example,
you might want to disable voice mail for a meeting room or hallway phone. You can also
grant users access to the system-wide voice mailbox that is shared across the entire system.
By default only the personal voice mailbox is enabled.
Changes here require affected phones to restart. To restart phones immediately, click
Commit, Changes Pending and Restart Phone. Otherwise, the phones automatically restart
during the next scheduled maintenance window.

Disabling a Personal Voice Mailbox
1. Click Voicemail Boxes in the Action Index window or on the Phone tab.
2. Click Edit.
3. To disable voice mail for a particular phone, clear the Personal Voicemail checkbox for
that phone.
4. Click Commit

Providing Access to the System Voice Mailbox
When you provide a user access to the system voice mailbox, a feature button is added to
the user's phone allowing them direct access to the system voice mailbox. They can also
access the system voice mailbox from their phone screen. The system voice mailbox is shared
across the entire system. The default password for system voicemail is 301, which is also the
intercom number for system voicemail. By default, users do not have access to the system
voice mailbox.
