Advanced Features Booklet printing You can print a document in the form of a small book. The printer automatically reduces each page image by 50 percent and prints two pages per sheet of paper. Fonts Before printing, make sure that the fonts specified in your document are installed in the printer or are set up correctly. If you request a font in an application that is not resident in the printer, is not correctly installed, or is not downloaded from the application in the print job, the text is printed in Courier typeface. -

Troubleshooting Indicator light problems Status indicator light is off The printer is turned off, not ready, disabled, or has detected an error. Make sure that the printer is plugged in and turned on. Do not plug the printer’s power cord into a power strip; use a grounded wall outlet. Status indicator light is blinking green If the printer is receiving, processing, or printing a job, wait for the job to be completed or cancel the job. -

Xerox warranties and service contracts do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by the use of non-Xerox supplies or consumables or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for use with this printer. Each ink stick is uniquely shaped to fit into the correct ink-loading bin. Insert the ink stick's narrow end first. - Page 56 The Maintenance Kit is almost empty. Order a replacement Maintenance Kit since the Maintenance Kit will need replacing soon. See the web site: www.xerox.com/officeprinting/8200supplies Maintenance kit empty The Maintenance Kit is depleted. Replace the Maintenance Kit to continue printing. If the message remains after you installed a new kit, make sure that the new counter (the orange piece labeled C2) was correctly installed.
- Page 57 Troubleshooting Paper jam message Clear the jam. For detailed information about clearing jams, refer to the Phaser 8200 Color Printer User Guide. Make sure that paper or transparencies are installed correctly in the tray and that the tray switch is set correctly. If the jam occurred because too much media was loaded in the tray, reduce the amount of media so it is below the fill line on the left side of the tray.
