Station tests
The station tests are started as follows:
• Keep button e pressed
• Press the button for the desired test (e.g. 1 for test 1)
• Release button e
• Release the button for the test
• The test is cancelled by calling up "test X"
Test 1 – Display test
The display shows a test picture (slanting lines).
Test 2 – Button test
The display shows "DIAGNOSTIC Keyboard" and the pressed button.
Test 3 – Input/Output test
The display shows "DIAGNOSTIC I/O" and the status of the input "IN1" and the output "OUT1" each
with a number, either 0 or 1 (0= inactive, 1= active).
Test 5 – Software version indication
The display shows "DIAGNOSTIC Version" , the current version of the station software (e.g. "08.2"), IP
address, MAC address and whether the DHCP function ("DHCP") and/or the dynamic login via MAC
address ("DYN") is activated (0=inactive, 1=active).
Attention: The station tests not mentioned here are for internal purposes only. Do not execute these
station tests, as they may influence the station's behaviour.

A PoE injector (e.g C-PA15WPOE) for power supply must be ordered separately when PoE supply via
the switch is not available.

Mounting instructions
• Do not place the device in areas where it may become wet or damp, and avoid particularly dusty,
humid or high temperature environments.
• Use shielded Ethernet cables only.
• Before using the device, ensure all cables are connected correctly and are not damaged.
Safety instructions
• This device shall be installed or replaced by trained and qualified personnel only.
• Devices belonging to another earthing network must not be connected to the device's connectors.
• All connected circuits shall fulfill the following requirements:
• Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) and Limited Power Source (LPS) according to IEC/EN 60950-1 or
• ES1, PS2 circuits and Annex Q (Limited Power Source) according to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1
• The device is intended for appropriate installation in locations where possible high transient volt-
age surges are not likely to occur.
• Only accessories that comply with the device's technical specifications shall be used.
• Disconnect all cables for any maintenance.
• All changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could
void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
• There must be no direct connection to a cable outside of a building.
• When opening the station, ESD precautions must be observed.
• The station may only be opened by authorised service engineers.
• This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which
case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
Handling
Use the original packaging when transporting the device to prevent damage.
Disposal and recycling
Equipment with this symbol shall not be disposed of together with household or commercial
waste.
The directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronical equipment (WEEE) is applicable
in the European Union member states.
