Mounting instructions
1
The digiBOX is to be mounted on an even sur
face. The mounting holes allow for M4 screws to
be used. The screws should be tightened with 3
Nm (maximum).

Piezo Sensor connection

If no sensor is connected the sealing cap must
be screwed on the connector. The Microdot con
nectors have to be kept clean in order to achieve
the high in-sulation resistance for the charge
transmission. The piezo input is only available for
the K-DBX configuration with Industrial firmware.

IO Connector
The pinning of the IO connector depends on the
K-DBX configuration. When the option AD is
selected Pins 1,2,3 and 9 feature the Analog Out
puts. However, when the option D8 is selected
these pins feature the additional DIOs. The DIOs
require a separate supply voltage (min. 10V, max.
30V) which is to be connected on pins 12 and 6.

Device and Webserver Access
7
The digiBOX can be accessed in the network via
the device-host-name or a de-vice IP-address.
The digiBOX is set to DHCP at the factory and
therefore does not initially have a fixed IP
address.
Connection using device host name
Each digiBOX can be accessed via its device host name that is
composed of the following syntax works: http://digi
box-1234.local, where 1234 corresponds to the last four digits
of the unique serial number of the device.
Example: Reading the above type plate the device-host-name
results in http://digibox-83AB.local
Connection using IP-address: DHCP
If the digiBOX is connected to a network with a DHCP server,
the server will automatically assign an IP-address to the digi
BOX and can be accessed with this IP address (e.g.
http://192.168.1.1.45)
Connection using IP address: APIPA
If no IP-address is assigned by a DHCP server, the digiBOX will
follow the APIPA protocol and assign its own IP-address after
approx. 60 seconds.
The first two number blocks of the IP-address are specified in
the APIPA protocol 169.254.X.X and the last two blocks of
digits of the IP address are made up of the last two pairs of
hexadecimal digits of the digiBOX' s unique serial number.
With the example type plate above the digiBOX can be
accessed with its APIPA IP-address http://169.254.131.171,
where 131 is the decimal conversion of 83 and 171 of AB.
