    List of abbreviations and symbols Warning! “Danger” symbol used for notes whose non-observance may result in danger to life or health caused by the electrical installation. The power cord of the pump must be disconnected from the power supply before carrying out the operations marked with this symbol.

    Application The pumps referred to in this manual are designed to pump clean water from bore- holes or to increase the pressure in water supply systems when the unit is installed in a hermetic casing. The pumps can be used on farms for water supply, irrigation, heat pump installations or water supply of industrial systems.

    Protective measures 1. INSTALLATION Before starting any installation work, it is essential to disconnect the power supply. Protection must be provided against accidental power restoration. 3ti, 3t2i, 3Stm 3SDm, 3,5”SRH, 4SD and 4SDm, 4ISP, 4ISPm, 6ISP, 6SD pumps can be supplied in two parts due to their dimensions.

In case the well where the pump is to operate has a diameter larger than that indicated in the table, the pump must be installed in a special casing to ensure proper cooling.

    Pump installation The pump motor is filled with environmentally friendly oil. In the event of a motor failure, oil may leak into the well. Before lowering the pump into a new well, make sure that the well drilling company has cleaned it by pumping the water. During the well drilling, the water inside the casing pipe and filter becomes contaminated with silt and sand.
  • Page 9 Electrical connection Operation of the pump is prohibited if the insulation of the power cable or the float switch cable is damaged. If this is the case, contact the guarantee company to have the cable replaced. Mechanical damage is not subject to free of charge warranty re- pairs.
