Accessing The Information; Updating The Compaq Insight Manager Agents - Compaq 219700-001 - ProLiant - 1500 Reference Manual

1. Boot the server from the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software
CD.
2. From the Compaq System Utilities screen, select Create Support Software.
3. From the Diskette Builder screen, select Create Support Software
Diskettes from CD only.
4. Scroll down the list and select Compaq SCO OpenServer 5 EFS.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to create and label diskettes.

Accessing the Information

To access the driver installation information:
1. Place the diskette labeled Documentation Diskette in the diskette drive
of a server or PC.
2. Reboot the system.
3. Select the file named README.HBA to view or print.
4. Follow the instructions in this file to install the SMART-2DH
Controller driver in an existing UnixWare server.
Updating the Compaq Insight
Manager Agents
If you are using Compaq Insight Manager you will need to update the Insight
Agents for this monitoring utility for support of the new SMART-2DH
Controller.
If you used SmartStart 3.40 or later to install the operating system on a new
SMART-2DH Controller installation or upgrade your driver in an existing
installation, the agents were automatically updated for you by SmartStart; you
will not have to manually update the agents.
The agents included in SmartStart 3.40 provide the same Insight Manager
support as for the SMART Controller and include support for SMART-2DH
only. The agents in SmartStart 3.40 or later provide full Insight Manager
support for the SMART-2DH Controller.
