Should this fan need to be returned to the factory for repairs, it must be shipped in its original packaging to ensure proper protection against damage that might exceed the initial cause for return.
- Page 4 SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING When mounting fan to a ceiling outlet box, use a METAL octagonal outlet box; do NOT use a plastic outlet box. Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. The outlet box and its support must be able to support the moving weight of the fan (at least 35 lbs.).

Blade Screw/ Lever Wire Lock Washer Connector Qty. 6 Qty. 3 + 1 extra PREPARATION Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Place motor on carpet or on foam to avoid damage to finish. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product. - Page 7 INITIAL INSTALLATION If applicable, remove existing fan, including the mounting bracket, from outlet box and disconnect all electrical wiring. WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, use ONLY parts provided with your new fan. The use of parts OTHER than those provided with this fan will void the warranty.

INITIAL INSTALLATION 5a. Loosen canopy mounting screws/lock washers in slotted holes of canopy (B) and remove the other two canopy mounting screws/lock washers (G) -- save for later use. Remove mounting bracket (C) from canopy (B). Secure mounting bracket (C) to outlet box (not included) using screws, spring washers and flat washers provided with the outlet box. -

INITIAL INSTALLATION Thread wires from motor (F) through opening in top of motor housing (D). Use gap in hole at top of motor housing (D) to get motor housing (D) past set screw in yoke. Align 3 holes on topside of motor housing (D) with 3 preassembled rubber soft nails in yoke, and press down firmly on the motor housing (D) to Set Screw... - Page 10 DOWNROD-STYLE FAN MOUNTING Slip downrod (A) into yoke, align holes and re-install pin (H) and clip (I). Tighten set screws and then tighten nut. Slide yoke cover (E) down until it rests on top of motor housing (D). Set Screw and Nut Depending on the length of downrod you use, you may need to use the additional wiring (N).

CLOSEMOUNT-STYLE FAN MOUNTING Temporarily hang fan on the tab on the mounting bracket (C) using one of the non-slotted holes in the canopy (B). Continue to WIRING below. WIRING WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury, lever wire connectors provided with this fan are designed to accept only one 12-gauge house wire and one lead wires from the fan. - Page 13 WIRING 1. IMPORTANT: Each wire connection is made by firmly raising the levers on each lever wire connector (BB), as shown. Then, ONE wire is inserted into each opening. WARNING: In order for wire connections to be secure, all levers on the lever wire connectors (BB) must be completely returned to their original position as shown on Step 2.

WIRING Gently slide remote control receiver (L) flat-side up into mounting bracket (C). Turn spliced/taped wires upward and gently push wires and lever wire connectors (BB) into outlet box. Let antenna from remote control receiver (L) hang to the side. NOTE: The remote control included with this fan meets the following requirements: a. -

Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 2. Restore electrical power. Replace battery cover. IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to remote control transmitter, remove the battery if not used for long periods. Store the remote control transmitter away from excess heat or humidity. NOTE: If fan and/or remote control fail(s) to operate or you have purchased a new remote control transmitter, make sure to turn the power off first. -

Also, subject to the limitations below, the manufacturer warrants all ceiling fan parts (“ceiling fan parts” excludes the motor and parts made in whole or in part with glass) to be free from defects in workmanship and material for a period of one year after the date of purchase by the original purchaser at retail.
