cloth. Do not use solvents or water, and do not place the charger in wet
conditions.
• Unplug the charger when there is no battery pack in it.
• Fully charge the batteries before placing them in storage.
• Store the charger at normal room temperature. Do not store it in excessive
heat. Do not use the charger in direct sunlight. Recharge at room temperature
between 7ºC and 40ºC. If the battery pack is hot, allow it to cool down before
recharging.

SING THE PROTECTOR
The trimmer is fitted with a wire protector. To protect small plants etc from the
rotating cutting line. The protector limits how close the head of the trimmer can go to
objects when the protector is in the lower position. To use the protector fold it down
so that its horizontal, this keeps the line a safe distance from the end of the protector
and helps prevent damage of small plants and trees from the line.
Note: Always remove the battery pack from the trimmer before carrying out any
maintenance or making any adjustments to the line trimmer.
The trimmer is capable of performing light edging tasks.

HANGING A LINE SPOOL
Note: Always remove the battery pack from the trimmer before carrying out any
maintenance or making any adjustments to the line trimmer.
1. Turn the line trimmer upside down so you have direct access to the spool.
2. Hold the bottom of the spool firm with one hand and with the other hand
squeeze the tabs on either side of the spool cover and remove the cover.
3. Remove the empty spool and clean out the spool cover.
4. Using a fully wound spool pass the line through the eyelet of the spool. Fit the
spool of line into the spool cover fully. Applying light pressure, rotate the spool
of line until it locks in position.
5. Replace the spool cover ensuring the 2 clips locate and snap in place. Check the
cover is secure.
6. Push the square button on the spool and at the same time, pull on the cutting
line. Extend the line just past the cutter on the guard.
