3. BASIC OPERATION OF THE REMOTE CONTROL
3.1. Battery insertion and replacement
Your air conditioner may have two batteries (some units).
Insert the batteries into the remote control before use.
1. Slide the rear cover of the remote control downwards,
exposing the battery compartment.
2. Insert the batteries, taking care to match the (+) and (-)
terminals of the batteries with the symbols inside the
battery compartment.
3. Slide the battery cover back into place.
3.2. Guidelines for using the remote control
•
The remote control should be used within a radius of 8 metres of the device.
•
The device will beep when a remote signal is present.
•
Curtains, other materials and direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal receiver.
•
Remove the batteries if the remote control will not be used for more than 2 months.
3.3. Notes on the use of the remote control
The device complies with local national regulations.
This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for digital class devices B. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there
is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment o
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
•
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. The distance between the equipment and the receiver needs
to be increased.
•
Connecting the appliance to an outlet on a circuit di erent from that to which the receiver is connected.
•
Consult a dealer or experienced RTV technician for assistance.
•
Changes or modi cations not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the
user's authority to operate the equipment.
