Internal Hard Drive — Allows you to enable or disable the Internal
Hard Drive.

Serial Port — Allows you to disable the port or change its address
assignment.

Parallel Port/Parallel Mode — Lets you disable or reassign the
parallel port and select a parallel port mode.

IR Serial Port — Allows you to disable or reassign the IR Serial port.

USB Controller — Allows you to enable or disable the USB
controller.

Other BIOS Setup Options

BIOS Setup offers other options, including the following:

Auto Configuration with Defaults — Loads default settings.
T
Save Settings and Exit — Accepts changes made to current settings,
saves to CMOS, and exits BIOS Setup.
T
Exit Without Saving — Reverts to previously selected settings and
exits Setup.

Password Protection

Your NEC Versa supports a password for system security on several
levels. Once you set a password, you must enter it before you can enter
BIOS Setup, access the system at startup, or resume from Suspend,
depending on your configuration selection.
Your system is not protected until you set a password and you are not
prompted to enter a password until you set a supervisor password.
Note:
before the BIOS Setup utility allows you to set a
user password.
