4. Slide the release latch towards the rear of the system and hold it.
5. Align the CD-ROM reader in the VersaBay III and push it in until it
locks into place.
6. Turn the system over and open the LCD panel.
7. Power on the system.

Customizing Your System with the VersaBay III

Customizing your NEC Versa is easy using the VersaBay III. If you find
you require additional hard disk space or increased battery longevity,
simply remove the standard device and plug in an optional hard disk
drive or battery.
Note:
the VersaBay III, it is set as master.
Add another hard disk drive or second Li-Ion battery pack as follows.
1. Remove the standard diskette drive, LS-120 drive, or CD-ROM
reader from the VersaBay III as described in "Removing a Device
from the VersaBay III."
2. Prepare your option for installation as follows.
To install a battery pack, first connect it to the VersaBay adapter that
came with the battery. (Follow the instructions that come with the
battery pack.)
3. Holding the front VersaBay III release latch towards the hard disk
drive bay, align the option and its carrier in the VersaBay III.
4. Push in the option until it clicks into place.
5. Turn the system over, open the LCD panel, and power on. The
system automatically recognizes the newly installed option.
